Take the online course, pass the test and complete the checkout process. Upon completion of these steps you will receive your certificate of completion of the firearms safety course via the email you used during the checkout process.
If you don’t see the email in your inbox, make sure to check your spam folder. You will need to print a copy of the certificate and bring it with you when you submit your application to the Sheriffs office.

This application form can be found on the Sheriffs office website.
You will need to schedule an appointment with your local County Sheriffs office to submit your application. Generally this is done online through the Sheriffs Office website.
However, if you are having trouble you can call the CHL division of the Sheriffs office and they can help you out.
Important: You must apply within the county that you reside.
Prior to your appointment, you will need to have 2 valid forms of identification, one of which needs to be a drivers license and the other being either a US Passport or Birth Certificate, a Certificate of Completion of a Firearms Safety Course, a completed Concealed Handgun Application form from your county Sheriffs office, Military ID or DD-214 (only if you are current or prior military) and payment for your application which should usually be either cash or check.
On the day of your appointment, show up at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment time with all of the items mentioned in the previous step and be ready to have your fingerprints and photograph taken.
As soon as you receive your Oregon Concealed Handgun License card in the mail you are legally allowed to carry concealed.
It is your responsibility to verify areas that may legally prohibit you from carrying concealed such as court houses and federal buildings.
